I find it very surreal sometimes to think about the opportunities offered to me from being unwell!
One such opportunity was given to me by the BBC and a fantastic reporter, Chris Quevatre (Now working for Ocean City Media). He got in contact shortly after my blog went live back in 2019 and despite my initial concerns about my story being shared with the world, it was a brilliant project to be part of.
We collaborated with students from Arts University Plymouth who listened to my story and created the most surreal but realistic images of some of my deliriums. Even now when I watch the video, I feel uncomfortable, but also slightly amused at what I actually saw, or thought I saw!
The animation can be found on my YouTube channel (yes, I have a YouTube channel!):

Chris also wrote a feature piece on my journey, which appeared on the BBC Regional, National and Global Website, along with regional TV. For 5 minutes I was famous and able to share the power of the patient story……for all of us. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-56404046
I am more than happy for healthcare professionals to use the video or my blog in their educational training, resources or anywhere they think it might be useful. All I ask is that I am fully credited.
